These 5 Things Keep Me Up at Night
And I have no idea what to do about any of them

1. Deep Fakes:
Deep Fakes have now become a reality. Not only can you create an image of someone doing whatever you want them to do, but you can also do the same thing with video and audio or a combination of both.
Case in point, This very realistic Tom Cruise Deepfake.
What happens when a deep fake of Kim Jong-un threatening a nuclear war goes viral? I can think of a thousand ways this technology can be used to create panic, chaos, and fear with real-life consequences especially in this age of qAnon where people seem to have abandoned reason and logic and believe just about anything they read or watch on the Internet.
5. Cyber Warfare:
What would happen if All our GPS satellites were to self-destruct up in space? You might think that we could just go back to using paper maps to for driving directions but GPS satellites do way more than tell you where you are and how to get to where you need to go on the planet.
Aircraft, ships, submarines, trains, and the space shuttle all use GPS to navigate. Emergency response, wearable tech (smart watches), Construction, mining, and off-road trucking all depend on the accuracy of the GPS system to work.
If this system were to fail, even food would have a problem getting from point A to Point B. We’d pretty much be thrown back into the dark ages since our lives and our tech have pretty much merged into one thing.
Our modern world is so dependent on computer technology that I worry about what would happen should it all fall apart one day. Besides GPS, there is a myriad of other services that would be fatal to humans should they be disrupted. A few examples include.
Espionage, Denial-of-service (DoS) Attacks), Electrical Power Grid attacks, Propaganda Attacks, Surprise Attacks, Economic Disruption, and so on.
3. Religion in Politics:
While mainstream religions seem to be losing members by the millions every year (you can thank the internet for…
